Some of the big guns missed this event after encountering different problems. Despite all these things, 31 racers lined up for qualifíing. Norbi's first lap was commanding, not that it shocked anyone. But the second place was up for grabs. Bobbi, Csűr and King13 were able to do the 03 laps, and Bobbi took the first row the first time this year.
Palee hasn't found his rythm, and came away with a disappointing result. Bond was able to get to the 5th place, Gergő got Palee's back. Marki and Prezsi followed.
After the start, Palee's system got overheated and the computer restarted. He knew that he can rejoin in the first lap. After 2 and a half minutes delay, he could start the chasing.
Bobbi slipped out of the track, went as back as 11th. He then started probably the most incredible racing I've ever seen. He just stormed through the traffic, and almost got the 2nd place in the end. Unbelievable.
Gergő was basically riding almost the same position all race long, not making costly mistakes, a great steady driving, which lasted 77-78 minutes.
Our fellow Infernos dominated the field, as Bobbi came 3rd, Bond 4th, Gergő 5th. (Csűr would have been 2nd had he not been disconnected) Palee went cocky, and started fight with the time, then the last guys. He caught and passed Kacsa and Amery, finishing 10th in the race.
Palee: ,,My timing was not right, as I caught rythm in the second part of the race. Right now I consider this one a great race, not because of the result, but the fact that I was able to get up off of the floor, and fight back from a huge distance.'' Gergo: ,,I feel I got back something, that I had to miss last time. Now luck came back
on my side, I am very pleased with my result. Still not so satisfied
with my performance, especially with the ability of braking efficiently
and steadily, but good point is that I was able to show
major improvement when it was the most needed - by the start of the
event.''
Next event at FE RallyX, where last year Gergő was the 6th, and Palee had this race off being on vacation. |
